Supemicro Launches New Motherboards Optimized For Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processors
High Volume PDSBA and PDSBE Deliver Increased Performance and Energy Efficiency

San Jose, CA, July 27, 2006 - Super Micro Computer, Inc., the leader in high-efficiency servers, chassis and motherboards, today announced the availability of two new motherboards based on Intel’s new G965 and P965 chipsets. Optimized for new Intel Core 2 Duo processors (code named Conroe), these solutions provide a substantial performance boost while delivering increased energy efficiency.

"The increased performance, high power-efficiency and cost-effectiveness of these new Core 2 Duo platforms make them ideal for mainstream, high volume systems.", notes Charles Liang, President and CEO of Supermicro. "Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is greatly lowered with these feature-rich desktop boards."

Based on the Intel® P965 chipset, the PDSBE supports one Intel Core 2 Duo processor with a 1066/800/533 MHz system bus in an LGA 775 socket. Four DIMMs provide support for up to 8GB of unbuffered DDR2-800/667/533 memory. Other impressive features include three PCI-Express x16/x4/x1 and four 32-bit legacy PCI slots, four SATA ports (3 Gb/s), ten USB 2.0 ports (six rear / four front), high-definition 7.1 channel audio, and an Intel PCI-Express Gigabit LAN port. TPM1.2 security support and dual IDE options are also available. Ideal for Supermicro's SC733T-645 and SC733i-645 mid-tower chassis, the PDSBE is fully RoHS (6/6) compliant.

The high-performance PDSBA, based on the Intel® G965 chipset, comes equipped with identical features, but also includes integrated Intel graphics with Windows Vista support. Like the PDSBE, the PDSBA is a mainstream ATX form factor (11.6" x 9.6") board, optimized for Supermicro's SC733T-645 and SC733i-645 mid-tower chassis and is fully RoHS compliant (6/6). Super Doctor 3 management software is included for both platforms.
