Supermicro Releases New IU Server and Intel® Canterwood (875P) Chipset Based-System Boards
Featuring 800 MHz Front
Side Bus, and Serial-ATA RAID O/1
SAN JOSE, CA (April 30, 2003) - Super Micro Computer, Inc., a leader in the design and manufacturing of server solutions
and motherboards, today unveiled its high-performance 1U Server-the
5013C-T and Intel 875P-based system boards: P4SCA/P4SCE. These products
support Pentium 4 800MHz system bus processors and the Dual Channel
DDR PC3200 Memory, delivering to the user a brand new experience--computing
with speed and comfort.
Integrating cutting edge innovations into superior platform designs, the SuperServer 5013C-T represents the pinnacle of IU servers available in today’s PC industry. This versatile 1 U server supports Pentium 4 CPU with system bus speeds up to 800MHz and two built-in Gigabit LANs, 4 GB Dual-Channel DDR 400/333/266 SDRAM with ECC in 4 DIMMs. Furthermore, the 5013C-T also supports two SATA Hot Swappable HD drive bays with RAID 0,1 features. Because of its technical advantages, its reliability and its cost-effectivenss, the SuperServer 5013C-T is one of the best 1U Servers for today’s high demanding networking environments. It provides superior performance for a wide range of solutions from entry level server appliance to business critical server.
Supermicro’s P4SCA/P4SCE motherboards are equally impressive in technical specifications. Both support Pentium 4 or Celeron Processors with a system bus speed of up to 800 MHz and clock speeds of up to 3.06 GHz (with Hyper Threading). Furthermore, they also offer features such as memory support for up to 4 GB of ECC dual channel, DDR 400/333/266 SDRAM, dual Serial ATA RAID 0/1 and dual Gigabit LAN ports.(*See the note below)
In addition, to continue the legacy of our popular P6SBA motherboard, Supermicro has also implemented into the P4SCA the much sought-after ISA slots to provide the user with greater flexibility for specialized applications. With the combination of PCI slots and ISA slots, the P4SCA allows the user to upgrade the system by replacing the system board and, as a result, greatly improves system performance and further minimizes system down time. Due to its unique technical features, the P4SCA is especially ideal for industrial applications.
Once again, Supermicro has come through by providing the PC world with products of the highest performance, the best product/cost ratio, the maximum reliability and the fastest time to market.
(*Note: The P4SCE supports dual Gigabit LAN ports. The P4SCA supports one Gigabit LAN port.)
