Supermicro First to Ship Production Quantity Intel® Xeon® Processor-based Servers and Motherboards with New Intel® E7500 Chipset
Supermicro's Quick Time-to-Market Beats Competition

SAN JOSE, CA. April 25, 2002 – Super Micro Computer, Inc., a leader in the design and manufacture of motherboards and server solutions, continues to be the only manufacturer in the world to ship in quantity production, servers and motherboards based on Intel's new E7500 chipset, which support two Intel processors of up to 2.40GHz with a 512K L2 cache. Supermicro was the first company to deliver E7500 solutions to the market and, two months after Intel announced the E7500 chipset at the Intel Developer’s Forum in San Francisco, continues to be the only to ship in large volume. Supermicro credits its team of highly skilled Silicon Valley based engineers for enabling this Industry-leading introduction.

“Supermicro is committed to being the first company to deliver the newest technologies to the rapidly growing dual processor server market,” said Charles Liang, CEO and founder of Supermicro. “The overwhelming demand from our customers for Intel E7500-based Supermicro products has led us to expand our server and motherboard offerings further. Supermicro products lead the industry in terms of system performance, computing density, price-to-performance ratio, and high-availability requirements.”
