Defining RoHS Labeling and Marking Rule of Direct Sellable Products
- Motherboards
Complete RoHS boards: Rev 3.00 or above or have “RoHS” label , please check with Purchaser(s). Some early designed complete RoHS still using Rev 1.xx (For example, PDSLA)
Server Exemption: Serial Number. Please check with Purchaser(s)
- Chassis
Complete RoHS chassis: Rev G or above, or check with Purchaser(s).
Server Exemption: Rev G or above, or check with Purchaser(s).
Some new Chassis models will be RoHS compliant but still Rev A. Please check with Purchaser(s)
- System and Bare Bone
Please check with System Integration department, and RoHS PM (Larry Feng and Jordan Ho) for clarification
Defined with Rev control in database or label with Rev.
- Power Supply
All Power Supply which meet either complete RoHS or meet the requirement of server exemption requirement, start from Rev 3.00 except PWS-054, start from Rev 3.1.Some new Power Supply models will be RoHS compliant but still Rev 1.0. Please check with Product Managers.
- Riser Cards
Major Sockets with a green label
If PCB is Pb-Free, PCB factories need change silk screen to “Rev 3.00”.
If PCB is Pb-Free, but the revision is still “Rev 1.xx”: Place “Rev 3.00” label on the PCB to cover the old Rev “1.xx” silk screen.
If PCB is Pb-Free and components are not 100% Pb-Free: Place a “Not 100% Pb-Free” sticker on the bottom side.
